Welcome to the YouTube channel of Super Sonic Design, a Creative x IT company based in New York. This channel provides know-how for thriving as a small global business!
Today, I will share how to create Gantt charts easily and for free.
When you need to create a Gantt chart, it's usually for larger projects, right?
In such cases, using the project management software Asana and Instagantt allows you to create Gantt charts quickly and for free, and I’ll introduce how to do it!
First, I’ve explained it in a YouTube video for your reference. You can create them very quickly, so it’s super convenient!
In large project work, various tasks often overlap. That’s where Gantt charts come into play. They are used in project management and production management.
You can easily create a table that allows you to grasp work processes and progress visually using Asana and Instagantt.
Asana is a business management platform used worldwide as a project management tool. It allows teams to create tasks for each project, making it great for simple task management, sharing progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Asana can be accessed on PCs and smartphones, making it an essential business tool. The free version provides ample features and can be used by up to 15 people.
Instagantt is a web app for creating Gantt charts that integrates with Asana. It allows for visual project scheduling within the team.
There are three pricing plans, and you can use it for free. The free version allows for up to three projects.
If you already have an Asana account, please log in and proceed to the next step.
If you don't have one yet,Sign up for free Let's start with it.
If you already have tasks set up, they should be displayed on the chart.
For the free version, there are some limitations, so it’s important to use sub-tasks in Asana effectively. You can note down work processes for each task (like test01, test02) as sub-tasks, as shown below.
At this point, if you set the Due Date for the sub-tasks, it will reflect on the Gantt chart.
You can change settings within Instagantt, allowing you to alter chart colors for each phase (sub-task).
You can export the created Gantt chart. It can be exported as an image, PDF, or to spreadsheets like Excel.
You can choose this option from the “Export & Share” in the menu bar.
You can also share it via a link. The "Public Snapshots" feature allows you to share a read-only link, letting others view the Gantt chart without needing to log in to Instagantt. This is very convenient for viewers.
How was that? It’s very simple and convenient, right?
When you want to manage work processes with Gantt charts, I highly recommend using Asana and Instagantt!
